Our congregation is co-hosting (with University of Orange) a Prophetic Listening Session, in response to the call from Rev. William Barber and the Poor People’s Campaign to listen with a prophetic ear to the Inauguration speech on Monday, to hear through the lies and understand what the incoming administration is going to set out to do, in contrast with their campaign promises. Joins us at 11:30am to read from MLK Jr’s last text ” Where Do We Go From Here: Chaos or Community?” before we listen to the Inauguration proceedings starting at noon. Lunch is provided. We will then reconvene at 7PM to watch a livestream of the Poor People’s Campaign panel of civic and religious leaders giving a response to the inauguration. Dinner will be provided.
