The Unitarian Universalist Urban Community Ministry addresses issues of crime, drug use, police community relations, the urban environment, and the self-expression of children and youth in inner-city Orange, New Jersey. It provides programs of empowerment, community organizing, issues education, and intergenerational efforts to achieve power over one's life and community in spite of poverty, drugs, and political disenfranchisement.
During the church year, the Urban Community Ministry runs Arts on Cleveland, a once-a-week after-school visual arts program.
