Neighbors of our church coming from many countries have been attending our weekly English classes. Five of our church members volunteered as teachers, and we have grown from three students to a total of sixteen. There are two groups, intermediate and beginning, with a great range of experience. For many of the men and women, this is their only opportunity to immerse themselves in the English language. We are learning as much as they about how to communicate, for some of the teachers know no Spanish. Our shared laughter over the difficulties in both languages is universal!
